ezH2O® Outdoor Bottle Filling Stations
Designed specifically for outdoor installations, we offer a family of bottle filling stations ideal for parks and recreation areas, pools, golf courses, stadiums and school and business campuses. Some models included in the original ezH2O line are also rated for outdoor use, such as our vandal resistant and legacy models.

What kind of filter is used in the bottle filling stations?
The WaterSentry® filter is a carbon block filter with a polypropylene pre-filter that is rated to NSF 42 and 53 for lead, chlorine, taste and odor. It is rated for 3,000 gallons.
What does the filter remove from the water?
Elkay’s WaterSentry® Plus filter reduces aesthetic chlorine, taste and order, Class 1 particulate and lead. The filter has a rated capacity of 3,000 gallons.
How long does a filter last?
The WaterSentry® Plus filters are rated for 3,000 gallons which is about 24,000 16-oz. bottles. Actual filter life depends on your water conditions. We recommend changing the filter at least once a year.
What do the lights mean on the bottle filling station? How do I know if the water is safe to drink?
The LED lights on the bottle filling station indicate the filter status.Green: The filter is doing its job, providing you with a cleaner, fresher drink.
Yellow: The water is still being filtered but will need to be replaced shortly.
Red: The filter has reached 100% of its usable life and should be replaced promptly.
How do I reset the visual filter monitor light?
Enhanced bottle filling stations include FillSafeâ„¢ recognition, a feature that detects when a new Elkay filter is installed and automatically resets the filter monitor light back to green. Original bottle filling stations require just a few easy steps. Click here to watch our instruction video.
How easy is it to change the filter?
Replacing your filter is as easy as 1, 2, 3!
Turn off the water supply; then dispense water to relieve pressure (through either the bubbler or the bottle filler).
Turn the used filter clockwise, a 1/4 turn to remove from the filter head and dispose. Remove red cap from new filter.
Insert the new filter into the existing filter head and turn fully, counterclockwise. Make sure you can read the blue label on the front of the filter once installed.
Enhanced models feature our FillSafeâ„¢ filter recognition that automatically identifies when a new filter is present and updates the LED light back to green. Click here to view the video tutorial.

How easy is it to replace existing drinking water fixtures with an ezH2O® bottle filling station?
It depends on the type, style and location of your current water delivery fixture. USA Environmental Services will set you up with a local representative who can provide an assessment of your site and current fixtures and suggest the best option for your specific needs.
How long does it take to install a bottle filling station?
On average, it takes approximately 1-2 hours to complete a retrofit installation using existing plumbing.
How much water pressure is required?
ezH2O® bottle filling stations are designed to operate on 20 psi to 105 psi supply line pressure. Our bi-level non-filtered units require a minimum of 40 psi supply line pressure to ensure adequate stream height from each bubbler when activated simultaneously. Bi-level filtered models, regardless of supply line pressure, cannot provide adequate stream height from each bubbler when activated simultaneously. Please consult our specification sheet for the detailed specifications for the model you are considering.
What is lead? Where does it come from?
For centuries, lead has been widely used in plumbing systems that transport water. Despite changes in plumbing codes making it illegal to use lead pipes or solder, lead is still found in older pipes, solder and brass fittings in existing plumbing systems. Lead is toxic and continuous exposure can cause a variety of health problems, especially in infants and children. Please visit epa.gov/lead to learn more.
Do your products reduce lead?
The WaterSentry® Plus and WaterSentry VII filtration systems reduce lead to meet the requirements necessary to achieve our NSF/ANSI 53 certification, making the water cleaner and healthier.

The filters are also sold separately and can be retrofitted onto any existing Elkay or non-Elkay branded water cooler, fountain or bottle filling station with Elkay’s vandal-resistant retrofit filtration kit. Kits are available with and without a filter status monitor and alert.
Do your products contain lead?
No. Our drinking water products have been lead free for more than two decades. They are certified to NSF/ANSI 372 as lead free by the Water Quality Association.
How does Elkay test its filters?
Elkay tests and certifies our filters to NSF/ANSI Standard 53."NSF/ANSI Standard 53 for Drinking Water Treatment Units is the nationally recognized standard for evaluating and certifying drinking water treatment systems for the reduction of contaminants from drinking water. Water filters are tested and certified to NSF/ANSI 53 to ensure they reduce contaminants, including lead, per the requirements of the standard" (Certified Product Listing, NSF).
What type of maintenance and cleaning is required?
How can I tell if the bottle filling station is being used?
You can tell how much water is being consumed from data provided by the Green Ticker™ feature on the unit. The Green Ticker counts the number of 20 oz. single-use water bottles saved from waste by using reusable bottles and cups at the ezH2O®.
I’m getting an error message scrolling across my bottle counter area (Green Ticker™). How do I know what it means?
In your user manual, there is a table that explains each error code and what the cause of that particular error code is for repair purposes. You can find a copy of your user manual by searching your specific SKU on our website. Simply type the SKU into the search box in the upper right corner. When the page appears, click on the Downloads tab to access your user manual.
Where is the data tag located on the bottle filling station?
The serial data tag is located on the bottom of the cooler. Previously, there was a separate tag for the bottle filler and an additional one on the cooler. We have consolidated it into one tag on the underside of the cooler basin.
